For an Intl Trading Co. based in Switzerland we are looking for a Chief Accountant – Commodity Trading Exp.
Tasks
- Reconciliation and control of consistency between Trading and Accounting bookings
- Lead the Accounting Team for P&Ls – Account Payable & Receivable monitoring and reporting
- Preparation of closing entries (accruals) regarding Trade transactions
- Reconciliation of all intercompany transactions
- Ensure the correctness of all entries – Clarify payment differences
- Deliver monthly budget reports (actuals vs. budget)
- Provide Monthly / Quarterly and Year-end closings
- Preparation of audit
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Perform consolidation accounting
Profile
- Chartered Accountant – Commercial Accreditation or Swiss Brevet / CPA
- Min. 10 years’ experience in Accounting – including 5 years in an Oil Trading Co. (ideally)
- Excellent knowledge & practice of IFRS – LUX GAAP – and SWISS GAAP
- Previous experience in a Big 4 = an advantage
- Thorough grasp of Oil Accounting (hedging & physical) – A strong +
- Focused, details-oriented & quality driven
- Fluent in English – German a+
- Outstanding communication skills at Mgmt level
