For an Intl Trading Co. based in Geneva’s area, we are looking for a Compliance Officer with experience in the Energy Trading Industry

Tasks

• Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures in line with international trade laws and regulations
• Advise the Front Office and other Departments on Compliance matters (KYC – ABC – AML – Sanctions – etc.)
• Formulate recommendations to mitigate compliance risks
• Maintain knowledge and analyze impact of new laws and regulations
• Provide support to review Trading Contracts and Charter Parties from a Compliance perspective
• Provide assistance to the business in terms of compliance / ad-hoc KYC queries / on-going project work, ensuring that industry best practice is always adhered to

Profile

• 3 years of experience in Compliance / Legal within the Energy Trading Industry
• Understanding of physical commodity business
• Strong knowledge of Trading Contracts and C/P
• University Degree in Law / Compliance or equivalent
• Able to formulate inherent recommendations to the different Dept. of the Company
• Fluent in French & English
• Effective written and oral communications
• Motivated and organised – able to work under pressure
